In 2002, a lifelong dream became a reality. We started small—selling salts at farmers markets and festivals—but as word spread, we quickly found our way to San Francisco’s iconic Pier 39. From the very start we knew we had something special here in San Francisco, a global melting pot of people, flavors, and food. For us there is no greater joy than being able to help others bring these unique flavors from all over the world into their homes and create new memories with those they love around the dinner table. Being true to our roots we source as many local ingredients as we can – Salt from the Pacific Ocean, garlic from Gilroy, and onions from the Central Valley. For ingredients that are not native to California we searched high and low for the highest quality ingredients we could find across the globe. In 2019 we took another step towards providing the most flavorful salts made from the highest quality ingredients by launching six organic blends all of which can be traced back to the farm from which they came. By 2021 our goal is to be able to bring our supply chain transparency to you, our consumers, so that you too can see exactly where each salt you buy from us comes from.
One thing we have learned over the years is that we could never have gotten this far without the loyal following of our customers and our talented, hardworking staff. We take great pride in our products, incredibly genuine customer service, and are excited to currently be the fastest growing salt company in America.
