  • 3-4 tablespoons unsalted butter or ghee, melted

Directions

  1. Heat the coconut oil in a large, heavy-bottomed pot over medium-high heat. Add the popcorn kernels and cover with a lid. Shake the pot occasionally. Once the popping slows down to 2–3 seconds between pops, remove the pot from the heat and pour the popcorn into a large mixing bowl. (Alternative: Use an air-popper according to manufacturer instructions).
  2. Immediately drizzle the melted butter or ghee evenly over the hot popcorn. Toss the popcorn gently as you drizzle to ensure the fat coats the pieces evenly—this is crucial for helping the salt adhere.
