French Grey Fine Ground Process?
I purchased a 5lb bag of the french grey fine ground and, when opened, it appeared much drier than previous purchases and, in addition, it had a "chemical" or "smokey" smell. Customer service was grand and replaced the bag however, although the salt appeared less dry, the smell remained. I am wondering if the process for this salt has changed?

Odd Aroma
I love the French Grey Salt, and usually buy it in bulk for cooking and for making salt scrubs I was a little disappointed this time around because upon opening the bag, I smelled an odd aroma, like the salt had taken on the smell of some of the flavored salts that SF Salt Co. carries. It’s really off-putting. Otherwise, I’d give my current salt inventory 5 stars.
