How do I get free shipping?
Free shipping will automatically be applied to orders of $25 or more placed on the San Francisco Salt Company website.
Which products may not qualify for free shipping?
While the majority of orders over $25.00 ship for free, large volume/wholesale orders, including, but not limited to those that are palletized and require LTL/Full Truckload shipping and/or additional shipping requirements (such as residential delivery or inside delivery) may not be eligible for free shipping.
How will I know if free shipping does not apply to my order?
For orders under $25.00, the shipping charge will automatically be calculated during checkout and you will be able to review the shipping charge before placing your order. If your order is over $25.00 and does not qualify for free shipping, you will be contacted as soon as possible from a member of our customer service team. We will work with you to provide the lowest shipping rate possible based on your order, delivery location and any other special requirements you may need.
What if I return a product that was shipped to me for free?
If an order shipped for free is returned and not considered faulty or damaged, you will be responsible for any shipping charges incurred for originally shipping the order to you and for return shipping costs.
Small/Medium size orders placed before 1:00PM Eastern Standard Time (10:00AM Pacific Standard Time) are generally processed and shipped the same day. Larger orders will typically ship within 24 hours. We ship orders Monday through Friday, excluding holidays).
If we encounter any problems processing or shipping your order you will be contacted immediately. If you need a rush status placing on your order, please call us ASAP and we will work with you to ensure we satisfy your needs.
Including a possible 24 hour processing time, most orders will arrive at your doorstep within 5-6 business days from order placement.
Shipping Carriers Used
We offer some of the lowest ship rates in the U.S.A for gourmet salts and bath & spa salts. To do this we use USPS, UPS and our preferred trucking companies for pallets and containers.
The carrier used will be based on weight of order, the ship-to address, and shipping cost. If you would like to request a specific carrier please call 1-800-480-4540 to make special arrangements and obtain extra details.
Tracking Your Order
Incorrect Address, Non Deliverable & Refused Shipments
Orders that have been returned to us will be handled in a timely manner by our customer service department. If we have made an error, we will re-send the shipment to the correct address immediately at no cost to you. If the customer has made the address error, the customer will need to pay the cost of reshipping at a rate of $10.95 per USPS box required. If the customer has refused the shipment because they changed their mind on the order, the order will be treated as a return.
